Question: What project shall we choose?

:hello: all!

A first sorting out of the bio-med projects (see enclosure), left 8 projects over.

  • Almere Grid
  • Correlizer
  • DrugDiscovery
  • NRG@home
  • RNA World
  • Rosetta
  • Superlink@Technion
  • WCG

First discussions in the forums of SG and AF, revealed that
- there may be a lack of WUs on Almere Grid, Drug Discovery and Superlink
- there is no more application for Mac on Correlizer
- WCG is too big for the objective of the Charity Race

Does anybody have any information on NRG? It seems to be a very young project, though with a very reactive Admin.

So, these first thoughts leave us with 3 possible projects at the moment:
     NRG@home
     RNA World
     Rosetta

What are your thoughts about that?

Zusammenfassung in Deutsch:
Nach einem ersten Aussortieren der Biomed-Projekte (siehe Anhang) bleiben 8 Projekte. Erste Diskussionen bei SG und AF ergaben:
- es könnte zu mangelnder WU-Versorgung bei Almere Grid, Drug Discovery und Superlink kommen
- es gibt keine Mac-App mehr bei Correlizer
- WCG ist zu "groß" für Sinn und Zweck des Charity Races
Hat irgendjemand Infos über NRG? Scheint ein junges Projekt, aber mit einem sehr reaktiven Admin zu sein.
Derzeit kommen also 3 Projekte in Frage (die fett gedruckten)
Was meint Ihr dazu?

Résumé en français :
Après un premier tri des projets bio (voir PJ), il reste 8 projets. Les premières discussions sur les forums de SG et de l'AF ont donné :
- il pourrait y avoir un manque d'UT sur Almere Grid, Drug Discovery et Superlink
- il n'y a plus d'application Mac sur Correlizer
- WCG est trop "grand" pour répondre aux objectifs du Charity Race
Quelqu'un a-t-il des infos sur NRG ? Il semble que ce soit un jeune projet, mais avec un admin très réactif.
Donc, actuellement, 3 projets sont éligibles (ceux imprimés en gras)
Qu'en pensez-vous ?

It's always interesting to help young projects, but NRG seems to be really young, and nothing much is happening on the forum, no admin answer (afaics), people waiting for answers...

I voted for Rosetta.  I'm also happy with the other 2, but I'm not familiar with them and I'm concerned that they might run out of Work Units.  That happened with us in a race with SETI.Germany a couple of months ago on a lesser-known project.

Yes it is (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/teams/team_display.php?teamid=893), and i already changed the Description: http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/team_display.php?teamid=1296

I hope that we will find a Person who will create a nice little Logo for this Years Charity Race that I can implement into the Team Description.
